Well, here we go

I've been promising to start a blog so all of you that don't have the, ahem, "privilege" of seeing our kids all the time can keep up from afar.

I figure I'd start now before baby London shows up in August as I still have the summertime (and a miniscule amount of free time) to get this thing started.

I'm pretty new to blogging (as an author, at least), so please bear with me though the first months or so. Things should improve as we go on. I'll try to update this bad boy every week or whenever big news happens.

I'd love to read some comments from folks if you feel so inclined. Hope you enjoy it!

Here's a pretty recent picture to begin which I like to call "Goofus and Gallant". Quinn will be five on 10/23/07, and Isaiah will be two on 9/7/07 (his Uncle Daniel's birthday). Quinn will start Pre-K at Barnett Shoals Elementary in Athens this fall and is stoked about it. He's also having his tonsils pulled on the 17th of this month. Isaiah is still going to Missy's (our sitter) and loves it, as he can play to his heart's content. Little London is due August 23, but Beegee is sure she will be two weeks early just as the boys were. Perfect - right at the beginning of the school year (ugh)

Remember "Tommy Gets His Tonsils Out"? You could call a number at St. Mary's and listen to certain pre-recorded messages about medical procedures. The Tommy story was the only kid-friendly one. Now that I think about it, I have no idea what the other illnesses were that you could call in and hear about. Probably gonorrhea.

I also remember starting Barnett Shoals. That year, all of the students were encouraged to wear their Barnett Shoals t-shirts on Fridays. I remember eagerly looking forward to this. I don't know what happened to mine. I would like one now.

Is that an anti-girl shirt on Quinn? How progressive of you.
Also, I can't condone my future Penn State middle linebacker wearing a Wiggles shirt. Whatever that is all over his face is fine. We don't need stupid Michigan fans heckling him with Wiggles stuff though.

Mike, that's blood all over his mouth, so you'll still be OK

Ok,
First - I understand you and BG are "new age" parents, but really what's up with Q's shirt? Now when London arrives, I will buy her a no male shirt, and I will supply you with a shotgun.
Second - I guess this is for Mike, Isaiah really doesn't have the right last name to be a Penn State linebacker.
Third - Please make sure to get the classic picture that you and I both had on the first day of school, with the backpack on, the lunch box in hand, the koolaid socks pulled all the way up standing in front of the family car, which in this case would be the new van.

Cute messy little boys. Are they happy about having another sibling arriving? I don't remember much about my sisters being born, just that I had to take care of them a lot. Good luck with this, I'll have to make sure I check up every now and then!
