Even though Beegee isn't officially due until August 26th, the doctor told her last Friday that baby girl will come about two weeks early (which Beegee has said all along).
Could be any time within the next couple of weeks!

The tonsils are no more
Q had his tonsils removed on Tuesday. He was very groggy and sleepy the rest of the day (see the knocked out on the couch picture), but each day has been more back to his old self (see the ice cream for supper picture).
Funny stuff - I was late getting to the hospital because I had to take Isaiah to day care. Beegee said that as Q was going under sedation before the operation, he told her "Mommy...my penis can dance!". Then right before they tooke him, he motioned her to lean close and giggled and said "You have two faces".
What a proud day when your child is first introduced to narcotics.

Not to get too maudlin or depressing (ya'll know that's not how I roll), but we lost my Mom three years ago today.
I wanted to include this awesome picture from the archives. This was a great moment - Mom wanted the postcard-type Christmas picture of her and the grandbaby. We set it up, and right as I was pressing the button to take the picture, Quinn turned to Mom and kissed her right on the cheek. He had never kissed anyone before then, so that's why there is a true look of surprise and joy on Mom's face.
I'm very thankful when all is said and done that Mom got to know her first grandkid , even for the most fleeting of moments.

Well, here we go
I've been promising to start a blog so all of you that don't have the, ahem, "privilege" of seeing our kids all the time can keep up from afar.
I figure I'd start now before baby London shows up in August as I still have the summertime (and a miniscule amount of free time) to get this thing started.
I'm pretty new to blogging (as an author, at least), so please bear with me though the first months or so. Things should improve as we go on. I'll try to update this bad boy every week or whenever big news happens.
I'd love to read some comments from folks if you feel so inclined. Hope you enjoy it!
Here's a pretty recent picture to begin which I like to call "Goofus and Gallant". Quinn will be five on 10/23/07, and Isaiah will be two on 9/7/07 (his Uncle Daniel's birthday). Quinn will start Pre-K at Barnett Shoals Elementary in Athens this fall and is stoked about it. He's also having his tonsils pulled on the 17th of this month. Isaiah is still going to Missy's (our sitter) and loves it, as he can play to his heart's content. Little London is due August 23, but Beegee is sure she will be two weeks early just as the boys were. Perfect - right at the beginning of the school year (ugh)
