London Update

First photos in a while for her. She's looking more like a proper baby and less like a little wrinkled alien

More London Pictures

Some are from the hospital, and some are from home. She's really, really doing well. Much easier infant than either of the boys. She wants to eat every three hours or so, but then goes right back to sleep (even at night!).

First Days and First Nights

Well, London came home and had her first night with us last night. Beegee and I got about three hours of sleep each (we work in shifts). These first few weeks are always draining. Although, I must say, the transition from two to three is not nearly as jarring as zero to one or one to two, especially. I'm staying home today and going back to school tomorrow. I will have more London at the hospital pictures later.

Quinn's first day of school went well. He said he didn't like nap time, and it was hard to get many other details from him (except that they had pizza for lunch).

Here are some first day pictures. He was fine going in, but I have to admit getting a little choked up, which surprised me.

The first picture is him before we left. He was smiling, then I reminded him he was going to Clarke County public schools and needed to look tough. (ha ha)

The third piture is outside the school - that metal robot thing should look familiar to any of you old Barnett Shoalsers. Last picture is right outside his room.

London's Calling!

London Gayle Moore was born on Sunday, August 12th at 9:56 AM. She is 6 lb, 6 oz and is 19 1/4 inches long.

After we got to the hospital last night at around 9. they kept an eye on Beegee and finally admitted her (per her docotor's orders) at midnight. They gave her a muscle relaxer / sedative so she could rest, but it really slowed the contractions down, so this morning, they induced around 7. Beegee had the epidural afterwards, but then the baby came VERY suddenly, too quick for the epidural to have an effect. She had the baby naturally, and did a GREAT job.

I'm at home with the boys so I can get Quinn off to his first day of school tomorrow and I can start school myself. One of our nurses thinks that Beegee may be able to come home tomorrow afternoon!

HEADING TO THE HOSPITAL

Could be false labor, but Beegee's feeling it.

I've got my cell if anyone wants to call.

Out.

Family Visit

Last Sunday we had a visit from Beegee's cousin Marti and her family (husband Dave and daughter Maddie). The whole crew came over and we had some pizza. It's a good time for sure when everyone gets together.

I keep saying this, but Beegee fells things are going to happen SOON (like today or tomorrow soon).

Oh, also, Beegee and I took Quinn to open house at Barnett Shoals last Thursday to meet his teacher. Her name is Mrs. Lumpkin and she's been teaching Pre-K for 13 years (yikes!). She seems really nice (according to Quinn) , and he loved looking around his new classroom and meeting some classmates.

It's strange that his room (in the old Earth Shelter) is the exact same room that my fifth grade class was in. Other than a few new hallways and such, Barnett Shoals hasn't changed a bit. I have some fond, fond memories of that school, and I hope Quinn can have some too.

Izzy = Frattastic

Isaiah looks to be pledging Kappa Sig soon just like his Granddad and Uncle!

On another note, really any day now for baby girl. I'd be surprised if we make it a week!
